By the metre, from swatch book to the cutting table

Fabric is made to order, never stocked. You choose the design from the swatch book, the length you need is cut, and you take it away.

Cloth is not sold online. Every order begins with a consultation — design, weight, season and the length required are worked through with you, and only then is the cloth cut. More than five thousand designs from English, Italian, French and Swiss mills.

Cloth is not sold online. It is chosen with a specialist in store and cut to the length you need.

About this line

Why this line has no basket

You cannot buy cloth from a photograph. The colour on a screen is not the colour in daylight, and more important than colour is the handle — which no image carries.

So this line works to order only: you see and handle the cloth, the length is worked out, and it is cut in front of you.

Cutting guide

How much you need

Two-piece suit
3 to 3.5 metres
Three-piece suit

These figures are approximate

The length depends on your height, your chest, the width of the cloth and the model. Stripes and checks generally need a little more, because the pattern has to match. The exact figure is worked out at the counter.
